Things are just moving moving today!

Kent built me a window seat! well I am assuming it may be used more by Hendrix and Jaxson, but its um sturdy enough for the whole family to sit on I think! LOL



I finally got to put together all the tile for the kitchen back splash.. and I LOVE it! They really arent that red, they are more browns.. of course.



Hendrix lent daddy I hand in making his holder for his cable, he got quite into it.. we may have to get him back down there!

We are getting there..

Slower than molasses.. FINALLY we got a great Roof quote today.. so thats getting started.. and the framing is almost all done :) YAY.. we got our bathtub... ooohhh.

Its a bit like this... I cant wait!

Productive day!

So today Kent was off and we wanted to go check out stuff for the house.. we came across and seconds and surplus, we agreed on a tile we liked and it was one of the cheaper ones.. score!!! and then found some very nice tumbled stone for the kitchen backsplash.. here is the tile laid out i wanted to see how well it matched our floors :)

The Sink

I love this sink.. i am hoping its as cool in person!

Things are moving.. well we are at least!

OK so we moved into 500 sq ft last weekend.. and let me tell you its a blast... ok well maybe not a blast but these kids, dogs, laundry on split levels keep me busy!

We have invested in lots of storage from Ikea and soon I will get pictures up of all of that.. once its all clean :) if that ever happens..

As far as the house.. its seen lots of vendors coming and going, Ac, Electric, Plumbing.. still need to decide on a roofer to get the leaks fixed :( but so far we are good to go.. we can probably start sheet rocking next week! Thats when it will all sink in! so crazy!

Spring in Scottsland!

Its OURS!

OK so we did the brutal 15 mins closing.. phew.. glad thats over!

Kent and Pappaw went out and changed the locks on the doors.. this proved tougher than we thought, but Scottsland is all secured! As much as you need to in the middle of nowhere!

Houston and Kent went out and knocked out the chimney.. its ok it needed it :) there was a leak over the last .. oh FOUR years and it was a tad yukky! so it was beaten with a very large hammer and now its shiny and new.. and barely leaks at all ;) ok so it doesnt.. and no im not going to say YET I have faith in my husband.. and Houston.. :)

Its ok hes insured.. speaking of which I should call the home insurance company.. and work on that first aid kit!

2 days left...

2 days til closing and Im officially not sure I am ready to move.. ok well I am ready to move.. I want chickens and land and lots of space to watch these boys run and play.. but the change.. thats what I am not ready for :( This is the home K and I made, its the home that we bought our babies home to, we changed the floors, re did the kitchen, built a pergola.. kinda.. we made it OUR home. There are so many memories here, and I know they will all go with us, they are all listed here on the interwebs somewhere on some other blog, but it makes me sad that neither of my boys will remember HOME or at least our first HOME, the best part is we are really moving up and maybe they wont even care about this house, I mean the new house will be much cooler, and great for inquiring little boys to figure out :)

*sigh* I will pack up pictures today make our house a shell for the next person, while knowing that I cant WAIT to unpack them into our new home :)

So we are T-72 hours from signing papers to our Dream House, at least I hope it becomes our dream house.

The home we are purchasing has been built with love and family mind, we will continue those plans and bring this house to its fullest potential :)

Heres the run down:

4 acres
2 houses (1 guest house - yea fancy I know!- I will let you know how fancy 500sq ft is when I have lived in it with 2 kids, 2 dogs and a husband for a few months!)
5 Chickens
and a Barn Cat!

We have big plans and ideas for this house now its time to jump in and hope that our bank account and our marriage get us to the end!
